Why the Workplace?
An estimated 30% of employee downtime is due to relationship and communication problems with co-workers and supervisors. People must communicate well and understand one another clearly in order to reduce or eliminate the kinds of distractions and conflicts that can interfere with effectively and efficiently getting the job done. Managers consistently report that one of the most difficult parts of their job is to create harmonious work environments. Chief among their challenges is knowing how to effectively work with bosses, peers, and subordinates of the opposite sex.

Now you can put the world's leading authority on gender communication and relationships to work for you! Dr. John Gray, author of the bestseller, Men Are from Mars, Women Are From Venus, applies his proven Mars-Venus relationship principles to the workplace in a new workshop which:

  • Offers managers and co-workers unique, practical strategies to enhance relationships with each other and customers.
  • Increases workforce productivity by appealing to each gender's greatest motivating factors.
  • Delivers a tool set of communication strategies to promote respect, build trust, and overcome the corrosive effects of frustration, misunderstanding, and conflict in the workplace.
  • Refines management and supervision effectiveness by teaching skills for managing a diverse workforce.
  • Helps all staff members feel understood, valued, accepted, and included.
  • Improves managers' and team leaders' abilities to better understand and communicate -  resulting in more effective meetings, delegating, problem-solving negotiation and conflict resolution.

Fun, Engaging, and Tailored to Your Needs
The Mars and Venus Workplace material is both highly flexible and practical. The workshops are always fun and engaging. They provide participants with a positive way to understand the differences between the genders. They also emphasize that while there clearly are gender differences, everyone has Martian and Venusian sides.

People often think that they are speaking the same language and coming from the same culture when in fact they are not! It is the lack of clarity and confusion over these "cultural differences" between Mars and Venus that create so many of the communication and interpersonal problems that result in higher stress and lower productivity.

Our goal is to provide participants with practical concepts and specific skills that will lead to improved results in the real world. Our trainings are customized to the needs of your organization. For Workshop formats* the core material has been organized into modules. Each module is between 45 minutes to one hour in length so that they can be done individually or joined together in 2-4 hour format. Each module has the following format:

  1. Introduce a Mars Venus Concept or Difference
  2. Demonstrate the concept
    1. Elicit from participants examples that illustrate the point
    2. Facilitator Presents clear examples that illustrate the point
  3. Teach a Specific Skill Set of tools to address the difference
  4. Have participants practice the tools through a verbal or written exercise that demonstrates mastery
